Forward Movements

Ambitious, passionate, and unyielding, Ford Mckeown Larose, better known as Forward, is always craving innovation. He is deeply in love with street dance and illusionary movements; since 2008, he has been perfecting his craft and he never misses an occasion to gather more knowledge for his elevation.

 

In 2009, Forward assembled “Chaos”, an eccentric collection of brilliant dancers who aspires to push the limits of artistic creation with illusory movements. “Chaos” has been devoted to progress and innovation ever since and has presented many unique conceptual pieces to the community.

 

In 2010, he began the grand project, ''Chaos Unleashed'': an event that brings together the best poppers of Montreal and its surrounding cities. The competition started humbly with 80 people packed in a small room, but through diligence and commitment, it has grown to be renowned as one of the biggest popping competitions in North America. Today, dancers from all around the globe follow and take part in this event, and it continues to grow each year.

 

Forward’s hard work and dedication has slowly but surely lead him to stand out from the crowd. Even though he has just begun discovering the virtues of popping and street dance, do not be fooled: this young and talented dancer has a few tricks up his sleeve that may surprise you. Whether by representing Montreal in international competitions [Juste Debout (New York); Area 51(Toronto); Freestyle Session (Los Angeles); Last One Stands (Vancouver)] or by teaching upcoming young talents on a daily basis, Forward works consistently to push Montreal's popping scene onwards and upwards.
